Thursday is always a fairly short day because the afternoons
are put by for house cleaning and monkey time so there is not much to report
from today. For my last monkey time, I chose to go in with some of the squirrel
monkeys, but they were much more interested in hunting for crickets and
wrestling each other than they were in me or my handful of peanuts.
The last few days have been unbearably hot, easily the
hottest we’ve had since I’ve been here, so today’s slight breeze was very
welcome. Sue’s mother is visiting and she says it has been much hotter (!) in
Polokwane, which makes me wonder just how hot it might be up in Nelspruit next
week.
